Luke Wells and Matt Williams led the field in the first round of the Springfield City AM presented by Schuler’s Bakery. It was a great day for golf and the golf course was in great shape. The greens were running about 12 on the stimpmeter. While golfers found the greens in great shape, they had to be careful to avoid long come back putts.
In addition to being tied for the lead, Luke Wells is also leading the Junior Division. Rick Brooks and Dan Schuler are leading the Senior Division with rounds of 75.
Flights will be determined after tomorrows second round on the South Course. Flights will be determined by the two day total score. Flights will be made up of 12 players and ties.
Next weekend will also host the Ladies Championships. Deadline for the ladies to enter is Wednesday evening.
